My name is Frank Mercuri III, I am a business owner, husband, father of 3 and a US Army Veteran. I’ve been an athlete most of my life but I wasn’t always into “Health & Fitness,” until I met my coach 4 years ago. It was my coach who really changed how I saw my self at the ripe age of 46 and introduced me to a whole new world of fitness. Since then, I’ve developed a deeper appreciation for Health & Fitness and for the body building industry. I have personally competed in Men’s Physique & Men’s Classic Physique working towards receiving my Pro Card. What keeps me motivated is seeing how my body always changes when I’m preparing for a competition, but also seeing my transformation. Additional, I have received many requests to help train others. I have taken on this role now as a personal coach/trainer to help others reach their health & fitness goals. When I see how they have changed in just a couple of weeks, that get’s me excited! Whether you are looking for weight loss or have a desire to compete, I will push you beyond what you think you can do but most of all I will be committed to helping you reach your goals!

Hello my name is Victor Ames I’m pumped and excited to start at self made training facility, some background on my fitness I played football in high school and still play recreational flag leagues and love playing basketball and parks or in indoor gyms whenever I get a chance I’ve been a trainer for a year now but have worked out ever since I was 17 years old it has been a lifestyle ever since I love powerlifting but I specialize in weight loss and nutrition for my clients I love keeping high energy during our workout sessions and will even get in and knock a few sets out with you because we are in this together I look forward to working with each individual so we can all live a better lifestyle!

I started taking my fitness journey serious by the age of 16, I started with a lot of body weight exercises the usual push up, sit ups, pull ups, and I would go on occasional runs here and there for cardiovascular and conditioning benefits. Although I did see a lot of results with just sticking to the basics and staying consistent every week with a routine, I couldn’t wait to start eating the right foods and taking the right supplements to improve my overall physic and health. I remind you guys that when I started my journey I was young and didn’t have a job to buy everything I needed like the supplements and right foods but I wasn’t going to let any of that stop me from accomplishing my goals 💪🏼😤 you have to start where you currently are, with what you currently have – if you really want it.
As I grew older, I of course started to incorporate the food and the supplements but I felt like the most important thing that helped me keep pushing was the training in the gym because you have to consistently stick to a program and know when to switch it up so your body keeps improving and for that you need to invest a lot of time in the gym and try to figure out different ways to train your body for your specific goals.
I can fairly say it has been about 10 years that I have been consistent and loyal to the gym and I’ve trained with all kinds of athletes, bodybuilders, personal trainers, and I can fairly say that I have learned a lot when it comes down to changing the human body and thats why I decided to start my career as a private coach here at self made to share all the knowledge and experience that I have acquired and help out as many people out here as possible that are hungry for a change or feel ready or motivated to start their journey. We all have a different reason why we want to get started, and I love hearing peoples stories on why they wish to start, it always inspires me to see others get inspired 🏋🏻♂️
I’ve been passing on my blessing as a fitness coach for a little over a year now and I truly enjoy it, its the best thing I have ever done to help others and give back to the community, if there’s anything that motivates me to keep going is seeing others keep challenging themselves for a better version of themselves because it throws me back to when I started and how hungry I was for that change 🔥 my training style really depends on who I am working with because everyone is different but I do like to stick to high intensity training because I believe it is the best for body shaping and losing fat. Hi! My name is Olivia Lopez and I absolutely love all things health, fitness and mindset! My mission is to make everyone see and achieve their true potential by giving them the knowledge, confidence and support they need in order to reach their health and fitness goals! I was born in Canada and moved to the United States for 5 years in my childhood, moved back to Canada with my family and now living in California with my husband. I majored in Criminology at the University of Ottawa with plans of pursuing a career in criminal justice however I discovered my passion for health and fitness shortly after and knew in my heart I had to follow my passion. It all began with my own fitness journey! From senior year of high school all through my years in University, I had gradually gained weight to the point of not even realizing how my poor eating habits and lack of exercise had caught up to me. Before I knew it none of my clothes fit and I was up 45lbs! I knew I needed to change, so I got my very first gym membership and started working out (mostly cardio) a few times a week. I remember it being so hard in the beginning, but little by little I lost weight and educated myself on proper nutrition. Over time I went to the gym almost every day, prepared all my meals and managed to lose 55lbs on my own! I was proud of my weight loss but after moving to the United States when I married my husband I realized I wanted to feel strong and gain muscle. I began training CrossFit and I actually loved it! It taught me not to be afraid to lift heavy weights and helped me gain muscle. I loved feeling powerful and strong! I then decided to get certified as a personal trainer and got my first job as a trainer at a corporate gym in Corona where I worked for 1 and a half years. When Self Made Corona opened I immediately transferred over and have been training my clients here since January 2016. Throughout my years as a personal trainer I also discovered my passion for bodybuilding and competing. I competed in my first NPC bikini show late 2016 and loved it! In the beginning I was still learning all the ins and outs of competing and coaching myself I had to fail more than a few times to acquire the knowledge I have now. I’ve taken many first place wins since then and even the overall bikini title in a 2019 show. The last two years I have taken my competing career one step further by competing in National level competitions across the country. Although I love competing, prepping for competitions can be rather extreme. I am a big advocate for living a healthy lifestyle year round and finding balance between achieving your fitness goals and living your best life. By finding a nutrition approach that works for you and your lifestyle while applying the knowledge I provide surrounding energy balance and macronutrients we are able to produce sustainable results. I am a big believer that fitness and nutrition should add positivity and value to your life, not add stress to it!
